Of all the “American Idols” (winners and runner-ups) from the series’ past eight seasons - and there are many - only two have full albums that have ever stood out as being worthy of a second listen. One of those albums is Blake Lewis’ “Heartbreak on Vinyl.”

(The other is Adam Lambert’s “For Your Entertainment.” For those keeping score, both Lewis and Lambert were runner-ups.)

There’s nothing terribly new about the rhythms or melodies etc of “Heartbreak on Vinyl,” but that doesn’t stop it from being an excellent dance-pop album with songs that make you want to dance around your apartment. You know, if you’re into that sort of thing.
